Apply for vacancy in Community Ambassador Program

Make a difference in the community by joining the center's Community Ambassador Program as the liaison to the Panhandle Area Education Consortium’s Migrant Education Program.

Community Ambassadors link local nonprofit agencies with the people, programs and resources on FSU's campus.

Community Ambassadors

Each ambassador works with one local agency for an entire academic year, learning the inner workings of that agency. Ambassadors bring knowledge of their agencies to FSU, connecting campus and community. They assist in recruiting, training and organizing FSU students at their placement sites. Ambassadors' knowledge of their agencies' specific service needs, combined with the center’s vital resources, create opportunities for positive, sustainable change within FSU and the local community.

Strong applicants for the current vacancy will have their own transportation, are available on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. for required meetings, have the availability to commit 10 hours per week for the fall and spring semesters, have an interest in working with the Hispanic migrant population in Gadsden County, and have social media and other marketing skills.

The deadline to apply for this vacancy is Friday, July 22. Interested students should send a resume to Heather Stitely at hstitely@fsu.edu.
