Student Profiles of Service is an award sponsored by the Division of Student Affairs and the Center for Leadership and Social Change recognizing individual students who demonstrate exemplary commitment to community service at local, national, or international levels. Service to the community demonstrates personal and civic responsibility as well as commitment to broadening learning experiences beyond the classroom. It also gives students the opportunity to acquire new skills and grow in empathy and respect for others. Students are not judged solely on academic achievement, general leadership contributions, or sheer quantity of service activities. All students honored in Student Profiles of Service will have their photo and biography published in the FSView.

The LeaderShape® Institute challenges participants to lead with integrity while working towards a vision grounded in their deepest values. Participants explore not only what they want to do, but who they want to be. During the week, participants will have an opportunity to meet and work with 60-70 students from diverse backgrounds, as well as create a personal vision—an individual commitment to creating a positive change in the world. FSU LeaderShape® is designed to provide an environment that encourages personal leadership development. And, due to our wonderful support and sponsorship, attending LeaderShape® is at no-cost to participants. The 2014 Institute will be held Monday, May 5th-Saturday, May 10th.
