Diversity Programs

We believe the recognition of our individual and collective identities–including ability, age, class, ethnicity, faith structure, gender expression, nationality, race, sex, sexual orientation, veteran, and socioeconomic status–and their intersections, leads to the understanding that diversity enhances our quality of life. From this understanding, center programs seek to engage students in the creation of and collaboration among communities of difference.

Our work is deeply rooted in the foundations of the former FSU Office of Minority Affairs and Center for Multicultural Affairs. Today, the center continues this work as a voice for equity and inclusion at Florida State University, through social justice programs focused on structural and systemic issues in our campus and broader communities.
