Registration will launch in early January 2021 and will extend through 12:00PM (noon) on the Friday of each Symposium weekend. Registration will remain open throughout the first and second weekends. Registration will close as follows:

Participant Expectations

Participants will be permitted to participate in the Symposium at-will; The only attendance expectation is that workshop attendees participate in the small group block immediately following each workshop block they attend. Each workshop block will be followed by a small group session. Anyone may attend an opening speaker. A generic weekend schedule is below:


  • 6:00pm-6:30pm: Opening Speaker
  • 6:30pm-7:30pm: Workshop Block #1
  • 7:30pm-8:15pm: Small Group Block #1


  • 9:00am-9:30am: Opening Speaker
  • 9:30am-10:30am: Workshop Block #2
  • 10:30am-11:15am: Small Group Block #2
  • 11:15am-12:15pm: Workshop Block #3
  • 12:15pm-1:00pm: Small Group Block #3

Symposium Structure

The workshops are arranged so that the first weekend (January 22-23) will provide an introductory-level appeal, for those students wishing to become more familiar with topics related to social change. The second weekend (January 29-30) will provide an intermediate-level appeal, for those students who have some familiarity with social change topics but wish to continue digging a bit deeper. And the third weekend (February 5-6) will provide an advanced-level appeal, for those students with experience related to social change and who want to challenge their understandings through nuance and interconnected learning.
