SEC Ambassadors provide academic support to African-American and Latino youth from kindergarten through high school and work to identify risk factors in the areas of individual, family, education and community through the facilitation of discussions.
The focus will be dialogue in the areas of individual strengths/weakness with participants and related domains to include family, education and community. Our expectant outcomes include increased engagement, participants processing a personal assessment of their strengths/weaknesses, a developed plan of positive/healthy strategies and a personal commitment to remain engaged through reading/activism and current events.
- Mentor youth from kindergarten through high school
- Commit to the program through the fall semester
- Participate in monthly meetings and family workshops
