About the panel

Zyon Fleming, Moderator
I am a first generation student from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, pursuing my Bachelors in the College of Science studying Commercial Entrepreneurship. My leadership journey dates back to fifth grade as I was elected to serve the National Honor Society. My character continued to develop through middle school as I was elected the Athlete of the Year Award and The Principals Award. As a former high school athlete with a 3.6 GPA, I was involved in the Student Government Association (4 years), and did Dual Enrollment at Broward College during my senior year. As a 4-year senior, my professional character has excelled through my collegiate experiences as listed: Seminole Minority Leadership Institute (Black Student Union), FSU Football Creative Media Intern 2023-2024, Student Made Content Creation Manager (2023-Present), CARE Summer Bridge Ambassador (Summer 2023), BSU Historian (2023-2024), and many more! I am here to serve, and I am happy to serve you all today.

Miriam Alrahil
Miriam Alrahil is a fourth year Honors student from Jacksonville, Florida, pursuing a dual degree in Latin American and Caribbean Studies and Middle Eastern Studies. Additionally, she is a Service Scholar, the Middle East Center Assistant, Social Science Scholar, and has involvements such as serving as president of the Arabic Honor Society and volunteering within the local migrant/refugee community. She is heavily invested in academic research, having conducted a linguistics research project on Spanish-Moroccan Arabic contact during her Global Exchange in Alicante, Spain, an Honors in the Major investigating Latino Arabs and Post-Exilic literature, and an internship with the Spanish Department surrounding Indigenous studies, oral narratives, and climate change. In her future, she plans to continue pursuing ethnographic oral history work surrounding underrepresented and displaced communities.

Sean Faletti
Sean is a senior from Orlando, Florida studying Creative Writing and Human Rights and Social Justice. Sean’s past campus involvements include the Asian American Student Union, South Asian Student Association, Presidential Scholars Program, Student Government, and Lambda Phi Epsilon International Fraternity Inc. In his free time, Sean enjoys performing around Tallahassee with his band, Hey Cheetah.

Aishat Lawal
Aishat is a second-year Presidential Scholar at Florida State University pursuing a dual degree in Creative Writing and Theatre Studies with a minor in French. Aishat plans to use her undergraduate education to pursue careers in dramaturgy, theater devision, and creative writing with an intercultural focus.
