Service Scholar Program Wins Higher Ed Award

Florida State University’s Service Scholar Program was named a NASPA-Florida Program of Distinction for its outstanding contributions to service-learning and student success. The program has been run by the Center for Leadership & Service for the past 28 years. 

The “Programs of Distinction” award celebrates innovative programs and services that benefit students across a wide range of categories, including service-learning, student activities, leadership, and more.

Setting Afoot in Kenya

Just before my departure to Kenya, my mind was racing. I've never traveled internationally alone and haven't traveled abroad in over seven years. What items will I forget to bring? Will I be accepted? Will Kenya be a place inviting to foreigners, or a bit withdrawn? And most importantly, will I get lost in the airports with my terrible sense of direction?
